Automate meeting notes with AI Transcriptions and Summaries (currently in beta).

To have your space enabled for Beta testing this feature, please complete this interest survey.

We are gradually expanding access as we improve the feature, so expressing interest through the survey does not guarantee immediate access. After you complete the survey, keep an eye on your inbox for the official beta invitation!

Overview

Recording meetings is a Premium Office feature. To generate AI Transcriptions and Summaries, you must be a member of a Remote Office Space with an active monthly subscription.

To generate a meeting summary and transcription, all you need to do is record the meeting. Once the summary is ready, we’ll send you an email with an overview, action items, and the attached transcript.

The person who records the meeting will always receive the summary and transcript.

  • If that person has their Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar connected, all meeting attendees on the event who are Members of the space will also receive a summary via email.
  • If that person does not have their calendar connected, no other meeting attendees will receive a summary.

When a calendar is connected, we will find the closest calendar event to the recording start/stop times (with some small leeway for meetings that start late or run over) and use the attendee list of that event to decide who to email the summary to.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Once enabled for your space, all Members will have access to the feature. Each Member can toggle the feature on/off via Settings. Guest users will not have access to the feature, nor will they receive an AI Transcription and Summary if they attend a meeting.

  • At the bottom of the email, you’ll find a 5-star rating. Please select a star value to rate how well the summary covers the topics discussed in your meeting. To share additional feedback, you can also reply to the email. We value your feedback and are continuing to improve this feature while it’s in Beta!

  • Not yet! We know email is not always the ideal delivery medium and are planning to integrate AI Transcriptions and Summaries into the Gather app later this year.

  • No. If you decide to provide feedback by replying to the email (along with the summary and transcription), our team (real humans, we promise!) may read the content to improve our prompts, but the text will not be used to train AI models. To learn more about data processing at Gather, you can review our Data Processing Agreement.

  • All existing meeting recording limitations still apply to your space. Using the AI Transcriptions and Summaries beta feature does change your space’s meeting recording limits. Gather may choose to extend your space’s meeting recording limits on a case-by-case basis.

  • You can disable this for meeting recordings that you have started by going to Settings > AI Features and disabling Meeting Transcriptions & Summaries.

We’d love to learn more about your reasons for not wanting summaries, so please share feedback at any time.

  • Please contact us and we will disable the feature for your space. Once disabled, space Members will no longer see the option to toggle the feature on/off. Feel free to share as much or as little context as you’d like behind your decision. We’d also love to learn what you’d like to see in the future to reconsider using this feature on Gather!
