Dungeon Escape Map

Can't meet up with your friends face to face? Need a good icebreaker activity for a work social? Sitting at home, twiddling your thumbs? Try out our Dungeon Escape! Navigate through three levels, interacting with objects and people in our escape room to solve puzzles and find freedom. 

Note: Each level takes 20-30 minutes to complete, so plan for this to take about an hour. This activity is best played with others and will show you some of the best features of Gather.

Make Your Dungeon Map

First, head to gather.town/app. Click Create a new space. In the Template picker, under Experience, select Dungeon Escape. Enter a custom Space name, let us know why you're building this Space, and click Create space

Select your character, set your A/V options, and click Join the Gathering. The Space opens, and you're in the entrance of the map. There are a few basic instructions on movement and interaction. If you're exploring on your own, go ahead and get started. If you're playing with other participants, you'll need to share the link.

Invite Friends 

Click the Gather icon in your Left Nav Menu. Select Invite people. Email the invite or copy the link and send it on! (Need help? Read more about inviting guests to your Space.)

Get Started

Throughout the space, notes and interactive objects will give you tips and tricks to move forward.  Press the x key to view and close the notes. If you stay close to your team members, you'll be able to video stream and talk your way through the map together.

Tips & Tricks

There are all different types of doors in Gather. Some let you go through walls.

Watch out for the guards! They are mischievous and will pull you off path of success.

Notes are super important, and often give you key information about what you need to do first.

Look out for portals that advance you in the map.

Need some perspective? Open the Mini Map in the Bottom Command Bar for a bird's eye view of the level.
